This mockingbird comes every spring to a tree outside my window in jackson heights, ny--a bustling part of queens. It could use some noise reduction, but its not bad and there's a lot of variety. This guys really goes to town with a hundred variations of chirps.

The same bonnie file but this time run through rx's spectral denoise to clean it up a bit. A little bird noise is still audible between the clicks, but pulling samples from it should be much cleaner and easier to isolate. Enjoy.

At 3:22 into the recording, the tower bells of the keep of neuenburg castle, located on the hill opposite, toll 9 o'clock. They do this by tolling a high bell 4 times, once for each quarter of the full hour, followed by a lower bell tolling the hour 9 times. The recorder is located on the top of the vineyard, facing across the valley between vineyard and castle. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. I don't know what kind this was, but several red-headed woodpeckers appear at my feeder. I got just one series without background traffic noise. If you want to repeat it for effect, each series came 46 seconds apart. Probably how long it took him to eat the bugs he turned up.

It's forbidden for them to blow the horn inside city limits.
